Our commitment
As an AMFI Registered Mutual Fund Distributor holding ARN-69388, Harikrushna Investment follows the AMFI Guidelines and Norms for Intermediaries and the code of conduct prescribed for mutual fund distributors, along with IRDAI norms applicable to insurance solicitation. This page sets out how that translates into everyday behaviour in our office.
1. Suitability before sales
- We enquire into the client's circumstances, existing holdings and objectives before presenting any product.
- We recommend only products we believe are appropriate for the client's stated goal, horizon and risk tolerance.
- We decline to place a product where it is clearly unsuitable, even where the client asks for it, and we record our reasoning.
2. Full and fair disclosure
- The risk in a product is explained before its potential returns.
- Lock-in periods, exit loads, expense ratios, surrender charges and taxation are disclosed before the client commits.
- The commission structure applicable to a product is disclosed to the client on request, before investment.
- We provide the scheme information document, key information memorandum or policy wording, and we ask the client to read it.
3. No assurance of returns
- We never promise, indicate or imply an assured or guaranteed return on any market-linked product.
- We do not present past performance as an indicator of future results.
- We do not use unauthorised or misleading advertising material, and we do not circulate performance data that is not sourced from the fund house.
4. Handling of money and documents
- We do not accept cash from clients under any circumstances.
- We do not accept payment instruments drawn in our own name for investment purposes.
- We never ask for, and never accept, a client's password, OTP or transaction PIN.
- We do not accept blank or incomplete signed forms.
- Client documents are held securely and returned or destroyed once their purpose is served.
5. Client-first conduct
- We do not churn portfolios or advise switches for the purpose of generating commission.
- We do not split or route an investment to maximise our own remuneration at the client's cost.
- We continue to service existing holdings even where no further business results from the client.
- We do not solicit business by disparaging another distributor or intermediary.
6. Confidentiality and compliance
- Client information is kept confidential and shared only as set out in our Privacy Policy or as required by law.
- We comply with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, including KYC and record-keeping obligations.
- Our ARN is renewed on time and NISM certification requirements are maintained.
- Our ARN is quoted on all application forms so that our role is transparent to the fund house and to you.
7. Accountability
If we fall short of any of the above, we want to know. Our complaint route and timelines are published on the Grievance Redressal page, and your right to approach AMFI, SEBI or IRDAI directly is never restricted by us.
